To allow yourself to fully be present and surrender control is the greatest gift you can give yourself. To sit in silence, close your eyes, and take slow deep breaths. To slow down your mind and sit with your thoughts, sit with your emotions. This can be difficult for some because diving deep is uncomfortable and raw. But this is where healing takes place, this is where understanding and forgiveness happens.
Set the tone each morning with an intention, how do you want your day to feel, is there something that has been on your heart lately that needs more support? As you can see the overall goal of mindfulness is checking in with you and finding where you need support, where you need more love or peace. In today's world where everything is so hurried with instant gratification, getting pulled in every direction, allow yourself to just be present in that moment.
Mindfulness is a skill that needs to be worked on daily and with practice we gain clarity, increased awareness, and peace. Always know that you are fully supported all around you more than you know.
